Carseat Cover

So here it is- the finished product. This was one of those projects that started out all fun and misled me into thinking- this is way easier than I thought it would be! And then the fun started. The binding was all messed up, the canopy would. not. work. (and still needs some fixing- someday when I have more patience). And then there was the button holes for the straps to fit through. Oh, now those were just plain fun with the puffy backing I used. In the end it worked out- but just a note of advice if you plan to try one of these yourself- have plenty of Dove dark chocolates on hand. It helps.

Now. Just anxiously waiting to try it out. Ah, let the waiting game continue.

Hi,
I blog hopped my way over here. It took me a bit to figure out who you were. :)(Kathy's little sis)I had to comment on this car seat cover! It looks great! Did you know that people get a lot of $ for these?! I was shopping for a new carseat (we are getting #10 at the end of Feb) on ebay, and i couldn't believe that the covers were going for almost as much as the seats!
And, i'll have to say, it's very impressive that you and your husband are completing the nursing program! Our oldest, Linnea, recently finished the LPN part, and said that she often had to tell the moms in her class(she went in I.Wood) how amazing they were! She would try to imagine having to do all the stuff that a mom has to do, plus all of the schoolwork!

Thanks... And, Laura- I did check out these covers on etsy and was amazed at what they go for... However, after I made this one I think I understand why! Actually, like anything I think once you've done it once it gets easier. Can't quite say if I'd ever make another one though. ; )
