Holding on to Summer

I know I haven't updated very frequently these days. Summer caught a hold of us this past week and we crammed all that we could into those few warm days. And even if the weather isn't supposed to be as beautiful as it was, we plan to cram as much as we can into the next week as well.

Because.

Hmph.

School starts in little over a week. I don't know how I feel about that. A little alarmed that summer will soon bow out for the year, a little nervous how everything, if everything, will work out. But ready (I guess) to get it going, get it over with. One. more. year. And a baby due halfway through to make things a little more enetertaining!

But for the time being I'm holding on to summer. Ready for a few more bonfires, a few more saunas, a few more days of cramming sandy beach towells into the bag, packing the cooler, and trekking out to the camp to visit my sister and her family.

Let the seasons change, let it be what it will. But, summer's not over yet!

well, laziness might prevail today. a couple of kids that would for sure want to come aren't around home today. so we'll see. i guess we'll go for a drive one of these days and if she's home she's home. if not we'll hit the local public beach. it all works. :)

Thanks. I'm due in mid-Feb so I'll go school this semester and then just see what happens from there. No plans, just playing it by ear. : )

Is Anonymous Marne? As far as I know she doesn't have any plans. We picked a year's worth of blueberries yesterday so I think they might be done with that! Wah! Have you seen them rakes? Amazing.

How exactly does one go about picking a years worth of blueberries in one day? I HAVE to go berry picking when I come... we'll see. I'm coming Sat. after work, it'll be close to dark, so maybe sunday....

Congratulations! And I don't envy you. (Said in good humor, of course) Elsa arrive halfway through fall semester of my last year; clinicals within a week of delivering? Not for the faint of heart:)

But I survived, and so will you! It is totally worth it in the end. Enjoy the rest of your summer before the chaos returns.

Congrats! Sarah! I can't believe we haven't done coffee even once this summer (the one get-together and i miss out). I'm sure you'll make it through the year, you got this far... :) Maybe once school starts for you, we can get out every now and again. Let me know!

Thanks, everyone!
Megan- if you pick with a rake at bob's you can pick a pail of berries in five minutes. My sis-in-law went yesterday with a few of her kids and they picked 97 pounds in twenty minutes. And, they run the berries through their machine so they come out clean. Can't beat that.
Anna- good to know someone else has been there! I'd love to hear more of your experience. : )
Kelly- I've been wondering where you are. ;) I'm as much to blame. I would love to start up a regular coffee night again! We need that.
